Firefighters responded to the first alarm fire on Frontage Road around 4 a.m. Monday morning after a resident called 9-1-1, fire officials said.

The fire began in the attached garage but quickly spread to the house by the time firefighters had arrived -- upgrading the blaze to a second-alarm, responding departments said.

Everything had been knocked down around noon, fire officials said.

"While there were no injuries, the residents unfortunately lost most of what they own," Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue said on Facebook.

Authorities did not say whether or not the family had children.

Blairstown police, fire, and rescue are collecting gift cards for the family.

Responding fire companies include Blairstown Hose Company, Hope Volunteer Fire Company, Mt. Lake Fire Company, Stillwater Area Fire Company, Good Will Fire Company, Allamuchy Township Fire Dept., Oxford Volunteer Fire Dept, Hackettstown Fire Dept, Fredon Fire Dept and Green Township Fire Dept.

Also on scene were the New Jersey State Police, Blairstown Police, Blairstown Rescue Squad, Lakeland Emergency Squad, Warren County Fire Coordinator, New Jersey State Fire Marshall, and JCP&L.
